For the Woman Who Has It Seemingly All Together,
but Feels Less Than on the Inside
Many of the women who
come to therapy with me are thoughtful, capable, and deeply attuned to others.
They’ve often learned—early on—to be the steady one. To manage more than their share. To stay aware of what others might need, sometimes without even realizing they’re doing it.
Over time, these ways of relating can become exhausting, showing up as anxiety, relationship conflict,
or a sense of disconnection from yourself.
These patterns often become more visible during periods of transition and emotional vulnerability. The path to motherhood—including infertility, pregnancy loss, and third-party reproduction (surrogacy, egg and embryo donation), the transition into motherhood itself, working motherhood, postpartum adjustment, and postpartum OCD, or the demands of a high-pressure legal career—including burnout, perfectionism, and anxiety, can intensify feelings that are already difficult to understand, manage, or hold alone.
What once made sense in a particular context may no longer serve you in the same way.
There is often a deeper story beneath these experiences—one that deserves time, space,
and careful attention.
A MOVE TOWARDS DEEPER WORK

MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Hi, I’m Joanna.
After more than a decade as an attorney, I began to notice that legal work, while intellectually challenging, often left me feeling unfulfilled and yearning for more heartfelt work.
Through my own personal experiences, I came to understand the transformative power of psychotherapy—particularly within a space that made room for complexity, vulnerability, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
Today, I feel privileged to be entrusted with deeply personal stories from women who are working through some of life's most difficult experiences. I seek to support women through these moments, whether in their careers, relationships, or along the uncertain paths to motherhood.
My hope is to offer a thoughtful, steady space where women can feel more understood, more connected to themselves, and less alone in what they are carrying.
SPECIALITIES
Therapy for high-achieving women—including attorneys, professionals, and mothers—who appear composed and capable on the outside, while quietly carrying anxiety, burnout, relationship pain, grief, or the emotional complexities of becoming and being a mother.
-
I help women navigating gestational surrogacy, egg donation, or embryo donation make sense of the complex and often unexpected emotions that can arise during third-party reproduction to allow for less overwhelm and a more manageable experience.
-
I help women make sense of grief, navigate emotional intensity, and feel more like themselves, even when life feels on hold and full of uncertainty.
-
I help working moms navigate anxiety, burnout, stress, and the pressures of balancing a demanding career with motherhood so they can feel more present, confident, and fulfilled—both at work and at home.
-
I help women attorneys navigate anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and the relentless demands of the legal profession so they can feel more grounded, authentic, and fulfilled—both in their careers and in their lives.
-
I help women with OCD gently understand what feels overwhelming while learning new ways to respond so they can feel less alone, safer in their own minds, and freer to engage in the lives they want to live.
I work with women across all stages of life who are living with OCD. I have a special interest in perinatal and postpartum OCD, but I also support women experiencing OCD beyond pregnancy and motherhood.
-
I help women who find themselves repeatedly prioritizing others' needs over their own, struggling to set boundaries, or remaining in relationships that leave them feeling unseen, depleted, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we explore the underlying patterns that shape these relationships, creating space for greater self-understanding, healthier boundaries, and more fulfilling connections.
Therapy is not about becoming someone completely different.
It is about becoming more fully yourself.
Less Reinvention.
More Uncovering.
