Specialized Support for Professional Women, Perinatal Women, and Women Experiencing Infertility

Joanna Haydon, JD, LCSW (she/her)

After more than a decade in the legal profession, I transitioned to psychotherapy. Although I appreciated the intellectual rigor and rewards of my work as an attorney, it is a profound privilege to sit with patients who trust me with their stories and their struggles. Witnessing women grow through their emotional struggles by bravely facing the most challenging parts of their lives consistently reminds me of the profound power of vulnerability, perseverance, and the resiliency of the human spirit.

Since 2022, I have worked with women who appear strong and composed on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or depleted inside. Many describe struggles with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, perfectionism, and the pressure to continually perform at work and at home—often shaped by long-standing relational expectations and roles. Others come to therapy while navigating deeply personal experiences, including infertility and the transition to motherhood, describing issues with anxiety, depression, grief, immense sadness, anger, and fear. Across all of these experiences, patients frequently speak to a growing sense of disconnection and dissatisfaction in their relationships with themselves and others, and a desire to feel more authentic, understood, and emotionally alive.

As a clinician, I have a deeply value and appreciate the courage it takes to face yourself honestly. One of the most meaningful aspects of our work together is creating a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with curiosity, acceptance, and care. Together, we will uncover the deeper roots of your inner struggles and the challenges you face in your relationships—both with yourself and with others—and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and satisfying,
